中大手語及聾人研究中心推動香港聾人就業 獲勞工及福利局頒「友善聘用獎」

<div>香港中文大學（中大）手語及聾人研究中心（中心）自2003年成立起，一直積極推動香港聾人就業，中心早前參與勞工及福利局舉辦的《有能者‧聘之約章》及共融機構嘉許計劃（《約章》計劃），並獲頒「友善聘用獎」。</div> <div><br /> </div> <div>中心主任、中大語言學及現代語言系教授鄧慧蘭教授表示：「過往聾人接受教育的機會非常有限，選擇工作和晉升都面對很大障礙。不過，中心的經驗證明只要給予適當的培訓，聾人工作能力不下於健聽人士，一樣可以擔當重要的工作崗位。」</div> <div><br /> </div> <div><img src="http://www.cslds.org/v3/resources/announcements/Friendly-Employment-Award.jpg" title="Friendly Employment Award" alt="友善聘用獎" style="border: none;" width="600px" /><br /> </div>

Open for application - Nippon Foundation Scholarship for Sign Linguistics in Asia (2018/19)

<p>With a generous donation from The Nippon Foundation to The Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies (CSLDS) of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Asia Pacific Sign Linguistics Research and Training Program was established to offer training opportunities for deaf and hearing students as well as to conduct research activities in documenting sign languages in Asia and the Pacific. We are pleased to announce the&nbsp;<strong>Nippon Foundation Scholarship for Sign Linguistics in Asia (201</strong><strong>8</strong><strong>/1</strong><strong>9</strong><strong>)</strong>&nbsp;for students interested in pursuing postgraduate training in sign linguistics and developing a career related to sign language research and training.
