課程宗旨：
- To equip students with knowledge of bilingualism/biculturalism in deaf education;
- To introduce the basic knowledge of audiology;
- To provide skills in teaching deaf students; and
- To foster the concepts of deaf community.
課程學習成果:
完成本課程後，學生將能:
- teach deaf students based on the philosophy of bilingualism/biculturalism in deaf education;
- understand concepts in deaf history, deaf education history and deaf community from the perspective of deaf ideology;
- appreciate the linguistic nature of sign language;
- examine the similarities and differences between sign and spoken languages; and
- understand the language, cognitive, social and psychological development of deaf children.

入學要求:
Have completed Form 5 education level (under HKCEE) or Secondary 6 education level (under HKDSE) or obtained equivalent qualifications.
Equivalent qualification: for example, completed grade 11 on the UK National Curriculum.
Remarks: preferably have some teaching experience.
