Dr. Jieqiong Li jointed the team in 2014. She first worked as a junior research assistant, assiting the Centre in constructing the Child HKSL-Cantonese Bilingual Corpus, through collaboration with deaf and hearing researchers. Her main tasks included data archiving, data transcription and coordinating relevant people involved in the corpus construction. In 2023, she completed her PhD study from CUHK. Her thesis on bimodal bilingual acquisition of nominal expressions in HKSL and Cantonese, based on data drawn from the the Child HKSL-Cantonese Bilingual Corpus. Since Sept 2024, she works as a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre, help the centre construct the adult HKSL-M2L2 Corpus.
